With more than 15 years of experience in marketing and business strategy, Matt brings a client-first mindset and operational insight to his role at Ascentis. His career began in automotive publishing while he was pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at California State University, Fullerton—combining analytical study with hands-on business experience.
After graduating in 2005, Matt served as Marketing & Events Manager at Primedia Publishing before joining the Los Angeles Times. Over a 15-year tenure, he rose through the ranks to become Executive Director of Entertainment Advertising, where he led the company’s top-performing revenue division.
Today, as Director Business Strategy, Matt collaborates closely with Ascentis advisors to enhance service delivery and unlock scalable efficiencies. He focuses on building tools, refining operational strategy, and ensuring that advisors remain equipped to deliver forward-thinking solutions to their clients. His approach is deeply solution-oriented, driven by a commitment to clarity, innovation, and measurable outcomes.
Matt lives in Brea, California with his wife Melissa and their two daughters. He enjoys family time at the beach, restoring classic cars, and home improvement projects.
