Clint Sorenson serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Ascentis Asset Management and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Ascentis Holdings, where he leads the firm’s investment philosophy, research direction, and long-term strategic vision. Through Ascentis Asset Management, Clint oversees the delivery of institutional-caliber investment management, portfolio construction, and research solutions designed to empower financial advisors with scalable, disciplined investment strategies while improving client outcomes.
Prior to the formation of Ascentis, Clint co-founded several innovative firms that now help form the foundation of the Ascentis ecosystem, including WealthShield, an investment research and portfolio solutions platform focused on risk-managed strategies for advisors; ORG Partners Advisor Group, which now operates under the Ascentis umbrella, providing partnership and shared-resource solutions for entrepreneurial advisory firms; and 724 Capital, an investment and strategy firm focused on innovative portfolio implementation. Collectively, these organizations helped shape the integrated advisor-first model that defines Ascentis today.
Clint is also the bestselling author of The Smooth Ride Portfolio: How Great Investors Protect and Grow Their Wealth…and You Can Too (2024), introducing a four-part framework designed to align portfolio construction with both financial objectives and investor behavior—balancing performance with peace of mind. A frequent contributor to industry media, his insights have appeared on CNBC, Forbes, InvestmentNews, Financial Planning, Seeking Alpha, and The Pre-IPO Podcast. In 2018, he was named to InvestmentNews’ prestigious “40 Under 40” list in recognition of his impact on the investment industry.
He has authored multiple index methodologies powering ETFs and direct indexing strategies used by advisors nationwide. A past President of the CFA Society of North Carolina and former board member of the CMT Association, Clint holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and maintains both Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) designations, bringing a uniquely integrated perspective to modern portfolio management and advisor-led investment solutions.
